  • An initial evaluation will be completed in person

  • Frequency of therapy will be determined based on results of evaluation

  • Every treatment session will be conducted for one hour (unless patient is unable to tolerate a one hour session)

  • Treatment can be provided in the home, my office, or through tele-therapy 

  • Private pay only as insurance is not accepted at this time, however documentation can be provided for submission to insurance for possible reimbursement as approved by your insurance company 

  • Fees can be discussed during consultation phone call 

Speech Therapy Session

Communication Disorders
Aphasia - Apraxia - Dysarthria - Voice
Communication disorders in spoken language, speech clarity, vocal quality, reading, writing, and comprehension can arise as a result of stroke, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, or other neurological disorders, such as functional neurological disorders, Parkinson's disease or Multiple Sclerosis.  Our treatments are tailored to your specific deficits and therapy materials are designed to target communication interactions that are important to you and your communication partners.  Therapy will also involve education for communication partners on strategies that can assist with improving effectiveness and efficiency of communication.   




 

Cognitive Disorders
Attention - Executive Function - Memory - Problem Solving
Cognitive disorders can arise as a result of stroke, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, or other neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Dementia or Alzheimer's disease.  Disorders of cognition can impact your ability to independently perform simple tasks, such as, brushing your teeth, preparing coffee in the morning, or using the television or your ability to complete complex tasks, such as, medication management, paying bills, and completing work-related assignments.  Our treatments are tailored to your specific deficits and therapy materials are designed to target functional situations and tasks that will improve your ability to maintain your independence.  Therapy will also involve education for caregivers/family on strategies that will assist in carrying over skills learned during treatment sessions.

umatic and non-traumatic brain injury, or other neurological disorders, such as functional neurological disorders, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Dementia or Alzheimer's disease, rheumatic disease, such as Myositis, and head and neck cancer.  Our therapy program targets your specific deficits and a variety of evidence-based modalities will be implemented to improve the safety and efficiency of your swallow function, with the ultimate goal being to improve your quality of life.
